Tuition Policies

Payment:

  • One cheque to cover the $100.00 registration and $25.00 membership fee must accompany your registration. A membership is required to vote at business meetings. (Regina Christian School requires that at least one parent be a member of the Regina Chrstian School Association.)
  • Monthly Payments. The office must receive 10 post-dated cheques, within 10 days of acceptance for new families; or with registration for returning families. Cheques are to be dated for the first of each month from September to June. Pre-authorized debit is available.
  • Payment in Full. Two discount rates are available if you choose to pay in full. In order to receive the applicable discount, cheques must be received by June 15th for a 7% discount or August 15th for a 5% discount.
    No discount will be applied if payment is received after August 15th.
  • In the case of a mid-term start, cheques must be submitted prior to starting classes.
  • Additional fees including the materials fee, the leadership conference fee must accompany the tuition payment. The leadership conference fee is to be paid by September 1st. The materials fee may be paid in full by September 1st or be added at a rate of $10.50 per student to the monthly tuition cheques.
  • Extra course fees will be invoiced at the start of each semester.
  • Marks may be withheld until full payment has been made.

 

Pastoral Tuition Reduction
A tuition reduction will be granted to parents in full-time ministry or in full-time study for Christian service. The amount of the reduction is dependent on income level. The program is limited to a percentage of the student population. Please contact the finance office for further information.

 

Tuition Assistance
The tuition assistance program is limited to a percentage of the student population. Families applying for assistance are required to fill out an income/expense application form and meet with the Principal to assess their needs. All situations will be reviewed individually, taking into consideration the resources and programs of Regina Christian School and the needs of the family. All families requiring tuition assistance must submit an application annually.

The purpose of tuition assistance is to allow families time to arrange their finances so that within a reasonable period (e.g. three years) they are able to pay full tuition. In some circumstances it may be necessay for RCSA to continue with tuition support for longer periods; however families should do their best to move to full tuition payments as soon as possible. Since tuition assistance is limited to a percentage of the student population we wish to allow other families requiring assistance the opportunity of having their children receive a Christian Education as well.

*There is opportunity for all families to reduce their tuition through the Tuition Reduction Incentive Program (TRIP).

 

Delinquent Accounts
A $25.00 handling charge plus bank charges will be levied for every NSF cheque. It is the parents' responsibility to contact school administration if alternate payment arrangements need to be made due to unforeseen difficulties. Re-enrolment for the next school year may be suspended if there are outstanding fees and no aggreement has been made to pay accounts in arrears as of June 30th.

The school administration will make every effort to deal fairly with each situation taking into consideration the interests / needs of the family, students, and school.

 

Refunds
Registration fees are non-refundable. An exception may be given in the case of a job transer prior to the start of school. If a student moves from RCS in mid-year and has been paying the materials fee on a monthly basis, the balance will need to be paid in full. If the tuition has been paid in full and the student ceases to attend RCS the tuition fees will be prorated and a refund issued based on the number of months the student has been in attendance.
